Blanche Perkins-Hines Obituary

Blanche Cromwell Perkins Hines was born to William and Louise Cromwell on January 6, 1944 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was one of many children afforded to this union, each parent already had two children separately. This gave Blanche 11 siblings in all.

Blanche confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Progressive Baptist Church in 1987.

Blanche was educated in the St. Louis Public School District attending L'Ouverture School and later graduating from Vashon High School in 1962.

Blanche married Darrell Perkins in 1972 and one son, Jason (Michelle) was born to this union. She married again in 1987 to Eddie Hines who took care of her until her death. No children were born to this union but she had the privilege of having three bonus children from Eddie. Tawana (Clyde), Jay (Yemasi) and Ciara.

Family meant everything to Blanche. Although she only birthed one child, she was mother to many! She had a love and passion for taking care of others, especially children. Raising her child and many more.

She was a devoted aunt, sister, cousin and friend. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for others including giving them her last.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved family, husband, Eddie, son, Jason, (Michelle), step children, Tawana, (Clyde), and Jay (Yamasi), 13 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, 2 sisters, one brother, and a host of relatives and friends.

Her memory and legacy will be cherished by the many people whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed.
