Ronald Eugene Gross Sr.

Ronald Eugene Gross Sr 63, passed away at 12:58 Friday February 27, 2026 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis.

Ronald was born on October 30, 1962 at St Mary's Hospital in East St Louis to Woodrow Gross and Gladys Gross (Williams) along with 8 other siblings. Ronald was the youngest out of all the siblings. Ronald married his wife Susan Gross (O'Brien) on January 13th,1985 in Belleville, Illinois. Ronald joined the Army in 1979 and served until 1982. Ronald was a Over The Road driver for the better part of 30 plus years. Ronald loved to work on cars and teach his sons new things they could apply to in daily life such as carpentry, minor plumbing fixes, and a multitude of other trade applications. He also liked to travel on the weekends with his family to state parks or places he visited as a child.

Ronald is survived by his wife Susan Gross, his two sons Ronald Gross Jr and Bradley Gross and his granddaughter Elaine Gross. He is also survived by his remaining siblings, Peggy Kruckeberg of Troy, IL, Theresea and Terry Dyer of Arkansas, Wayne Gross and Carol of Imperial, Mo, Mark Gross of New Baden, IL. He is proceeded in death by his parents Woodrow Gross and Gladys Gross (Williams), and other siblings Darrell Gross, Donna Wagner, Bobby Gross, Debbie Vitale and her son Adam Vitale. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
